International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day is also significant in marking a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
It is a day about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action, regardless of how that day looks like globally or at a local level. One thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continues to grow from strength to strength. Not disagreeing that over the 100+ years we’ve made significant progress, but there is still the global problem of gender inequality which continues to persist.
At APA, International Women's Day is a day to make a positive difference for women. However, it’s important to remember not only is it today, it’s every day that we will #pressforprogress
APA will #PressforProgress and ...believe achievement comes in many forms value women's individual and collective success, ensure credit is given for women's contributions, celebrate women role models and their journeys.
