International Women’s Day 2018 – Press for Progress

by | March 2018

International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day is also significant in marking a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

It is a day about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action, regardless of how that day looks like globally or at a local level. One thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continues to grow from strength to strength. Not disagreeing that over the 100+ years we’ve made significant progress, but there is still the global problem of gender inequality which continues to persist.

At APA, International Women's Day is a day to make a positive difference for women. However, it’s important to remember not only is it today, it’s every day that we will #pressforprogress

APA will #PressforProgress and ...believe achievement comes in many forms value women's individual and collective success, ensure credit is given for women's contributions, celebrate women role models and their journeys. The late Audrey Page, founder of APA and one of the career management services industry trail blazers was an advocate and leader in supporting awards showcasing women's success.
